Your National Disability Coordinaton Officer can help with transitions into education and employment

The NDCO Program's goals are to:

Improve transitions for people with disabilities from their school or community into post-school education, training and employment.

Increase participation by people with a disability in higher education, vocational education and training and employment.

Establish better links between schools, universities, TAFEs, training providers and disability service providers so that they can work together to provide the best possible service and outcomes for people with a disability.

What services does an NDCO provide?
  • Information, coordination and referral activities for people with a disability.

  • Assist local education providers to provide better services for people with a disability

  • Provide information to individuals with a disability

  • Link individuals and organisations to local support services

  • Raise awareness amongst education providers and the general public of the issues facing people with a disability.
