Parents As Career Transition Support (PACTS)

For students with a disability

 

PACTS for students with a disability are a series of training workshops developed specifically to assist parents of children with mild intellectual disability making decisions about what they will do when they leave school.The workshops were developed from the Brotherhood of St Laurence mainstream PACTS program.

 

These FREE workshops will be held in 5 locations in Southern Melbourne and suburbs from February 2010 to July 2010.For further infromation and to register your interest please contact

The Victorian Government Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development has commenced the Career Start Program. The program supports people with a disability looking for Public and Community Sector employment.

Eligibility

• You must have a recognised disability, (this includes mental health conditions)

• Minimum qualification of Cert iii

• Be a graduating in the next 3 months or within the last 2 years

• Be unemploymet or workingless that 15 hours on a temporary or casual basis
