Western Metropolitan Region Networking Day
In celebration of International Day of People with Disability 2011 the NDCO for Region 12 held the ‘NDCO Western Metropolitan Region Excellence Awards 2011.’ These awards were to highlight and showcase the successes/abilities of people with a disability within the Region in relation to education, employment and community. A winner and runner up was selected by a panel for each of the categories and the awards were presented at ‘A Celebration for International Day of People with Disability’ in Altona on the 4th December 2011 (organised by the Metro Access Officer for Hobsons Bay and funded by Hobsons Bay City Council).
Thank you to the following recipients who have agreed to have their stories published on the NDCO Victoria Website. These stories not only highlight the pathways and achievements taken by these recipients but also serve as an inspiration to other people with a disability who are currently looking at future endeavours in education, employment or community.
