NDCO Churchill Fellowship Recipient

Congratulations Andrea-Evans-McCall for receiving a 2020 Churchill Fellowship!

The Churchill Fellowship offers recipients an incredible opportunity to meet and work with influential leaders around the world in their chosen field to address challenges facing Australia.

“I felt honoured and excited to have been selected as a 2020 Churchill Fellow. It is an amazing feeling to have your work acknowledged in a fellowship in the name of the great Sir Winston Churchill,” said Andrea.

Travelling to the USA, Finland and the UK for a six-week period, Andrea will experience innovative programs that develop employability skills for young people with a disability in inclusive learning environments.

“I hope to return to Australia with the knowledge of policies, programs and approaches that enable development of employability skills in authentic fully integrated learning environments.”

Andrea will apply her learnings and insights to build upon the Gippsland I Am Ready Partnership – an innovative and strategic approach to support Gippsland secondary school students with a disability or learning barrier.

An incredible achievement Andrea! All the best for the fellowship – we have no doubt that your learnings will help create a positive change in our communities!
