Public inquiry into access to TAFE for learners with disability

A new public inquiry into access to TAFE for learners with disability is seeking community
input.
The Victorian Legislative Assembly Economy and Infrastructure Committee is inviting written
submissions on how to improve access to TAFE for learners with disability.
Issues being examined include barriers faced by learners with disability when trying to access
and participate in TAFE, the types of support learners with disability need to maximise their
learning experience at TAFE, the training and support TAFE teachers need to better assist
students with disability, as well as broader strategies to increase the participation of learners
with disability in TAFE courses.
Written contributions are welcome by 16 October 2020. The Committee will then conduct
public hearings to speak with people on the issues they raise.
