Education participation needs and challenges

Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) People with disability in Australia web report details the compulsory education participation needs and challenges of people with disability in Australia.  The report  highlights that some students with disability may need additional support to help them participate in education but not all who need support receive it. The report draws on the Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers (SDAC), the most detailed and comprehensive source of disability prevalence in Australia.

Data in this section are largely sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ (ABS) 2018 Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers (SDAC).
