Understanding Blindness and Low Vision
Interviews by Stephen CurryToday, many students who are blind or vision impaired successfully complete further education. In part this is due to adaptive technology, in addition, the many services and great support networks now in place, assist students to reach their goals. More importantly however, the combination of emerging technologies and student centred learning strategies allow students themselves to feel empowered and have an innate sence of ability to achieve.
This CD shares the experiences of 12 individuals who are blind or vision impaired who have successfully made the transition into further education. The aim of this CD is to improve the transition experience for those about to embark on tertiary education.
